Stalking Bison

     During our trip through the Black Hills we stopped at Custer State Park.  We had our first buffalo encounters there, from a distance.  We spied a herd napping far away and my husband and son decided to get closer.  I went along, chickened out, and caught up when my intuition said it was OK.  I regained my courage. We were quiet and followed my husband's lead on how to not be seen.  We always maintained a reasonable distance.  Below are some photos I took of the herd.  One of them shows a vehicle stalker.  We had more fun!
